Security
Two-factor authentication
Enable TOTP-based 2FA from your account settings. Compatible with Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, and any standard authenticator app.
Invite-only access
NoteSmith is currently invite-only. Admins control who can sign up, tracking all invites for future referral programs.
Email verification
All accounts require email verification before login. Unverified accounts cannot access the platform.
Encrypted connections
All traffic between your browser and our servers is encrypted with TLS. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and never stored in plaintext.
Notifications
In-app notifications
Bell icon in the header shows unread activity. Notifications for mentions, shares, and document activity. Mark individual or all as read.
Dark mode
Full dark mode support throughout the app. Choose Light, Dark, or System from Settings → Appearance.
Mobile-friendly
Responsive layout works on phones and tablets. Slide-in sidebar on mobile, horizontal-scroll toolbar, full-screen chat panel.
